Industrial Equipment Training and Demonstration with Augmented Reality

We plan to use Manifest software to show our customers step-by-step instructions on how to maintain their systems.

Training Supervisor

With Manifest® iPad augmented reality app, Flow WaterJet can offer demos of their featured waterjet cutting equipment like never before. Manifest allows for marketing content to be displayed over real equipment in a trade show or showroom environment. Another powerful feature is the ability to render a full scale 3D model so potential customers can see how it will fit in their space. Embedded video content enables prospective clients to see how the real model functions.

At the Customer Training Center in Kent, Washington, instructors use Manifest in the classroom and training lab to teach customers routine maintenance procedures on the machine’s 96,000 PSI intensifier pumps. At the CTC, customers use Manifest augmented reality work instructions to learn and execute disassembly, maintenance, and reassembly of the intensifier pumps.

Work instructions in the Manifest job templates guide customers and technicians through procedures with ease and efficiency. Job steps contain rich content including photos, videos, bookmarked PDFs and annotations to provide knowledge and easy, fast learning. Leader lines overlaid on equipment guide the operator to the specific area of work for that job step.

In the near future, these work instructions will be available to Flow customers to use at their facilities with their own augmented reality devices, creating value add for Flow’s support services and to their customers whose waterjet machines are an operational-critical part of their business.
