The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
Lao Tzu
That journey, like product development, is made of many small steps. At Taqtile, our point releases often deliver subtle but essential improvements in performance, polish, and customer-driven refinements. But Manifest 4.2 stands out for its impact. This release delivers three targeted upgrades that solve real-world problems and unlock powerful new workflows.
Org-Based Connect Filtering: Unlocking the OEM Model
One of the most requested enhancements is finally here. With Manifest 4.2, Connect (our remote assistance feature) now respects Org boundaries. For OEMs and other multi-customer organizations, this is a game-changer:
- Each customer Org now sees only their own contacts
- A new admin-level toggle gives platform owners full control over this behavior
- This update removes the last major blocker for true multi-customer deployments on a single domain
This update helps scale Manifest as a true support and collaboration platform for multi-customer environments. It further enables OEMs to incorporate Manifest into their solutions to help provide leading edge remote assistance and documentation to accelerate learning and ensure their equipment is used efficiently.
Streamlined Access to AR Content on iPad
We’ve made it dramatically easier for frontline workers to access AR-authored content; even when they’re not in full AR mode. With the enhanced 3D Model Viewer 2D Scene View on iPad, users can now quickly reference:
- Model-based notes from the current or earlier steps
- Default models linked to the Asset associated with the procedure
- Pen and shape annotations; even without a 3D model
- Users can hide/show QR codes or swap models manually for faster navigation
The result? A smoother, more intuitive experience that puts critical visual guidance at workers’ fingertips with no extra steps required.
Streamlined 3D Step Marker for Faster Job Execution
Finally, our updated 3D step marker interface brings better usability and faster execution when using XR headsets:
- A cleaner interactive checklist for steps, notes, and evidence
- Updated icons, checkmarks, and required-evidence indicators
- A new expandable menu for quick actions like Connect, Fault reporting, and Job reassignment
These updates improve clarity for frontline workers and reduce friction during job execution; especially in complex or collaborative environments.
A Focused Release with Real-World Value
While Manifest 4.2 isn’t our biggest release of the year, it delivers three essential capabilities that help customers:
- Scale more confidently (OEMs)
- Train more flexibly (2D AR content)
- Work more efficiently (3D checklist UI)
We’re excited to see how you put these to use and encourage you to update right away! Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, reach out with questions or feedback.
