“Some say the PGA Tour is a stuffy organization, but nothing could be further from the digital truth.
It was a historic weekend at The Player’s Championship, the annual ‘5th’ major held annually at the PGA Tour’s home golf course, Sawgrass. Last year, Rickie Fowler bulled his way to the win, finishing in dramatic, record fashion. This year the golf course won, at least if you listen to the players, even though the world’s #1-ranked player took home the trophy, winning wire-to-wire. None of that makes history, however — at least from a pioneering standpoint. What did make history at this year’s TPC? The introduction of Microsoft’s HoloLens to the golfing world.”
