King County Information Technology has been named to the 2019 Digital Edge 50 Awards
King County Information Technology has been named to the 2019 Digital Edge 50 Awards for its work with mixed reality goggles to train operators at the West Point Treatment Plant.
This national award recognizes public and private organizations for digital initiatives that transform their work and drive business success. The organizations will be honored at the AGENDA19 Conference held March 18 – 20 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Honorees this year also include Universal Orlando, Verizon, Whirlpool and Bank of America. Organizations selected feature innovative, complex and scaled initiatives that modernize operations and improve customer experience.
“We’re thrilled by this national recognition,” says King County CIO Tanya Hannah. “Our fantastic partnership with the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks as well as @Microsoft and @Taqtile software allowed us to collaborate with so many experts on this solution. Training plant operators through the use of mixed-reality goggles promises quicker, better and more economical results for the county—and better protection of our environment.”
