To 2024 and Beyond!

We’re charging into the new year, working harder than ever to advance spatial computing. We are convinced now, more than ever, that this transformative technology will fundamentally change how work is done. As demand for immersive experiences grows and innovation in hardware technology advances, the future of spatial computing is poised to be more broadly adopted in 2024. This is especially true in the industrial sector where it enables remote collaboration and helps to capture and distribute expert knowledge.

As we embark on another exciting and innovative year of spatial computing, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the remarkable journey that was 2023.  We want to thank all our customers, users and partners who supported our relentless commitment to redefining how jobs are done.  Last year was marked by collaborative efforts and transformative strides in meeting our customers where they are to help connect your workforces and drive consistency and efficiency.

Delivering in 2023

We were busy last year. We had numerous releases including major updates to Manifest for iPad and the Manifest Web Application, significant updates to our popular Manifest Maker app and significant advancements of our platform for on-premise Manifest usage.  We worked hard to listen and understand our users’ specific needs and innovate and evolve accordingly and in meaningful ways. Here are some of the highlights:

No more QR codes!
Well, they are still there if you want them, but we developed and launched a patent-pending way to create and access virtual reference points to anchor spatial content and access equipment-specific procedures. Touch Alignment eliminates the need to use physical QR codes and provides a simple method of using 3 virtual alignment points to create a virtual QR code.

More iPad

As more organizations deploy and scale Manifest deployments to a larger base of users, enhanced support of the iPad has often been requested. That makes sense. Familiar, affordable, AR-enabled, and often already deployed, the iPad is a strong device choice for using Manifest.   So, we updated the features and usability of Manifest for iPad, as well as released multiple updates to our popular authoring tool, Manifest Maker to help workers leverage the power of the iPad while creating and using Manifest work instructions.

Next level inspections

Safety, equipment uptime, vehicle operational life.  Inspections are key to improving all these metrics.  Indeed, inspections are core to the efficiency of many different operational procedures in many different industries. And inspections are a perfect procedure to transform with augmented reality and often where our customers start.  So, we delivered a completely new fault management system in 2023; one that enables easy fault flagging, comprehensive fault documentation, fault tracking and management tools and automated inspection reporting. We can confidently state that Manifest is THE modern tool for accurate and consistent inspecting.

Powerful Tasks

A seemingly small innovation provides a powerful new feature that helps workers do their jobs better. Create a Task to capture a discrete work item – a “to-do” that can be associated with a documented procedure, a piece of equipment, a specific fault and work history. Tasks can be assigned to workers and can be tracked and managed until fully resolved. Tasks are a powerful method to capture ad-hoc work items and be sure they are documented and addressed.

There was much more in 2023 but we are particularly proud of these updates and absolutely delighted that they all helped specific customers do their jobs better –ultimately, this is what we strive to do every day.

Looking Forward to 2024

But we obviously wont stop there; we have lots of innovation planned for the coming year – some of which you should expect very soon. New device support, new ways to author, better tools for managing documented procedures and organizing data are just some examples. As we embrace the opportunities of 2024, the Taqtile team is excited to continue leading the charge in transforming industrial processes through the power of spatial computing and mixed reality work instructions. Thank you for being part of our journey, and we look forward to another year of innovation, growth, and shared success!
